Dr. Gotham uses modern and advanced arthroscopic as well as open surgery techniques to restore damaged joints, bones, and ligaments to return patients to an active, healthy lifestyle.
Biceps tendinitis is an inflammation or irritation of the upper biceps tendon. Pain in the front of the shoulder and weakness are common symptoms of biceps tendinitis. They can often be relieved with rest and medication. In severe cases, surgery may be needed to repair the tendon.
Carpal tunnel release
During open carpal tunnel release surgery, the transverse carpal ligament is cut, which releases pressure on the median nerve and relieves the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. An incision is made at the base of the palm of the hand. This allows the doctor to see the transverse carpal ligament.
STEM CELL TREATMENT
Stem cell therapy is a part of regenerative orthopedics. By repairing and stimulating growth in soft tissues, stem cells are used as a therapy to bring relief and healing to your injured body.
Platelet-rich Plasma Therapy (PRP) uses injections of a concentration of a patient’s platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. In this way, PRP injections use each individual patient’s healing system to improve musculoskeletal problems.
Metatarsal Surgery: Surgery on the long bones of the feet behind the second, third, fourth, and fifth toes is performed for a variety of reasons but is commonly performed to redistribute the weight bearing on the ball of the foot.
Joint reconstruction involves rebuilding the architecture of a joint to restore its proper function and to reduce a patient's pain.
Physical discomfort of the shoulder, including the joint itself or the muscles, tendons, and ligaments that support the joint.
Surgery is required to relieve ankle arthritis are described and discussed below. Ankle debridement is done to remove inflamed tissue (synovium), smooth out rough cartilage, trim away bone spurs, and remove loose bits of cartilage or bone that may be irritating the joint.
Tendon repair involves suturing the ends of torn tendon into approximation, and usually, immobilization for a period of weeks. It also may involve modification of associated fascial structures. Some tendon tears are treated with immobilization alone, depending on factors such as age, activity level and co-morbidities.
Anterior hip replacement
Total hip replacement with anterior approach refers to surgeries done from in front of the hip. These surgeries may also be called mini, modified, minimally invasive, or muscle-sparing surgeries. Your hip is a ball-and-socket joint. Your thighbone (femur) bends inward near the hip.
Knee replacement, also known as knee arthroplasty, is a surgical procedure to replace the weight-bearing surfaces of the knee joint to relieve pain and disability. It is most commonly performed for osteoarthritis, and also for other knee diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis.
